Overview: This book, by Diana Ennen and Kelly Poelker, is an excellent guide on learning, creating and living as a Virtual Assistant.
Review: The opportunities for starting a Virtual Assistant business on the Internet are becoming numerous. It is one way that people looking to stay home and work while taking care of their family can make money. There are many businesses in today's electronically connected society who need work done, but do not want to hire additional staff. These businesses are perfect opportunities for you to succeed with this growing profession. After reading this book, I'm thankfully doing this now and enjoying more of my life in the process.
The book is easy reading. You will not have any problems understanding the straightforward approach. The author clearly understands the subject and has a way of communicating this so that even a person like me can understand it. The structure of the of the book is well thought out with chapters laid out in an organization which is easy to follow. I was a total newbie when I first read this book. But when I finished reading it I had a clear plan on what tasks were needed to start my business and begin my new life adventure.
The author was smart to include additional ideas for other Virtual Assistants, who are already making a good live with this kind of business. It makes the perfect enhancement to her already excellent knowledge of the subject. The end result is a more well rounded explanation of VA work and what is involved with all the many aspects.
If you have ever thought about starting your own business as a Virtual Assistant, then you owe it to yourself to read this book. Starting out with the right knowledge helps anyone, and this book will encourage you to work hard and do it the right way. It sits as a reference book on my desktop - you won't store it away after you finish it as it has quality information for new VA's such as myself, and also those you have been in the business for some time already.
